The cartridges covered by the Lexmark Return Program are patented and sold at a discount on the condition that the customer agrees to comply with the license agreement and use them only once, then return them exclusively to Lexmark for remanufacturing and/or recycling. Cartridges covered by the Return Program are licensed for single use and are designed to stop functioning after providing a certain amount of toner. When cartridge replacement is necessary, it may still contain a variable amount of residual toner. Additionally, the cartridge is designed to automatically update your printer's memory to prevent the introduction of counterfeit and/or unauthorized third-party cartridges. If the customer does not agree to these terms, replacement cartridges sold without being subject to the above conditions are available at lexmark.com.
