The Gryphon™ 4500 range represents the high-end of Datalogic's handheld readers for all applications. The GD4500 reader is the wired version available as standard with an All-in-One Permanent Base form factor. The Gryphon™ 4500 range features for the first time in the handheld reader family a "contactless inductive charging system" for the wireless models. The GBT4500 model is the version with Bluetooth® technology, and the GM4500 model is the version with STAR Cordless System™ narrowband wireless radio.

The Gryphon 4500 range stands out with its sleek design, user-friendly ergonomics, and features the most advanced megapixel sensor with 2D technology using warm white lighting for exceptional performance.

The Gryphon 4500 omnidirectional imager offers fast reading performance for 1D and 2D codes. High Density (HD) models are available for reading small codes. A dedicated version with a red illumination beam is capable of reading Digital Watermarking codes.

The Gryphon 4500 is equipped with Motionix™ technology that detects the operator's movements and automatically switches to the desired mode. This technology works with or without the stand, providing more operational choices. The aimer and sensor can be programmed according to user preferences.

The wireless models are equipped with Bluetooth technology (GBT model) or Datalogic's STAR Cordless System™ narrowband radio communications (GM model).

One of the most significant technical innovations of the Gryphon 4500 wireless readers is inductive charging, eliminating contacts that are often prone to malfunction. This system significantly reduces support costs and increases the terminal's lifespan. Maximum reliability is achieved through this technology, allowing for 24/7 operation with no downtime for maintenance, resulting in productivity and high operational performance.

Models dedicated to the healthcare sector have been specifically designed to withstand daily cleaning with antimicrobial additives.
