The Lindy Cat.6 4 Port HDMI® & IR Splitter and Extender is a user-friendly solution that allows users to transmit an HDMI® signal up to 50m and then distribute that signal to four screens using a UUTP Cat.6 cable (not included). For added convenience, IR signals (20-60kHz) can also be extended using the provided IR transmitter and receiver cables.

Supporting resolutions up to 4K30, including 1080p 3D, the Splitter/Extender is designed for use in AV and digital signage applications for various environments such as home, education, business, retail, and healthcare.

A local HDMI® output is built into the transmitting unit and allows for connecting a local screen for monitoring. For larger installations, this local HDMI® port can also be used to cascade up to 3 transmitters, allowing for the connection of up to 12 screens to a single source.

This local HDMI port also allows the Splitter/Extender to clone the EDID data from a connected screen. An integrated EDID emulation system provides EDID presets for optimal compatibility with a variety of EDID-compliant devices.

The Power over Cable (PoC) feature allows powering the entire installation using a single power source connected to the transmitter - a perfect solution for installations where receivers may be located far from a mains power source. The power supply is connected via a screw-type round DC jack, ensuring a safe and reliable connection, ideal for installations where accidental disconnections may occur. For added convenience, the slim design of the Splitter/Extender and its built-in mounting brackets make it easy to install in tight spaces behind modern flat screens.
