The DAP-1360 from D-Link is a wireless access point compliant with the IEEE 802.11n standard. By connecting the DAP-1360 to a broadband router, you will be able to share your high-speed wireless Internet access and create a secure wireless network to share photos, files, music, video, printers, and storage devices.

Linux Platform
Thanks to the Realtek RTL8186 chipset, the DAP-1360 can be upgraded with custom firmware based on the provided software development kit (SDK). This allows programmers to fully utilize the 2 MB Flash memory and 16 MB SDRAM to include advanced features of their choice.

Wireless Data Protection
The DAP-1360 offers enhanced security for the protection of your network and wireless data. Additionally, it provides MAC address filtering and SSID broadcast disabling to prevent outsiders from accessing your home or business network.
With WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup™) technology, you can set up your wireless security system at the push of a button. No need to memorize complex passwords and enter them multiple times. The wireless network name (SSID) and encryption keys are automatically generated and broadcast to client devices.

Versatility for Different Applications
The DAP-1360 can be configured to operate as (1) an access point to serve as a central hub for wireless users, (2) an access point client to connect to another access point, (3) a workgroup bridge to link two wireless workgroups, (4) a workgroup bridge with access point to serve simultaneously as a wireless hub and bridge, and (5) a repeater to extend wireless coverage to all "dead zones".
Additionally, two WISP (Wireless Internet Service Provider) modes are supported, which could allow multiple households to share a single wireless Internet connection without an additional router: the WISP client router and the WISP repeater, to connect either wired-only or wired/wireless computers, respectively.

Ease of Installation and Use
With the D-Link Click ‘n Connect (DCC) wizard, you can set up your wireless network in just a few minutes. It configures your access point's operating mode, facilitates the addition of new wireless devices to the network, and helps you create a simple wireless network at home or in the office.
A scheduling feature allows you to disable the wireless network to save energy.
