This dual-port network card offers versatile and cost-effective network connectivity by increasing the available network bandwidth, without the need to replace your existing cabling infrastructure. The 5-speed network card allows you to add two 10G/NBASE-T RJ45 ports to your server or desktop computer and access your network at multiple speeds: 10G, 5G, 2.5G, 1G, and 100 Mb/s.
Multimode and cost-effective network connectivity
Compatible with many operating systems; this dual-port network card is ideal for a wide range of business applications that require server and workstation upgrades. Fully compliant with 10GBASE-T and NBASE-T™ specifications; the network card is an economical way to enhance your server or computer's capabilities by adding two powerful 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports. (10G network speeds require a Cat6a cable. All other speeds require a Cat5e cable.)
Connect to NBASE-T equipment
The network card supports advanced NBASE-T technology, compatible with the latest multigigabit Ethernet switches and routers, such as the new Cisco campus switches (including Catalyst 4500E, 3850, and 3560-CX). The card allows you to connect to NBASE-T equipment at network speeds of 2.5 Gb/s or 5 Gb/s via your existing Cat5e infrastructure, without needing to upgrade to a more expensive Cat6a infrastructure.
NBASE-T technology accelerates the speed of Cat5e twisted pair copper cabling over a maximum distance of 100 meters. The Ethernet network card also supports 10 Gb/s network speeds when using Cat6a cabling and 1 Gb/s with Cat5e (or higher) cabling.
The Ethernet ports are based on the Intel® X550AT2 chipset, designed to provide the power, performance, and enhanced capabilities you need for reliable network connections to your server and computer. The network card also supports advanced features, including 9K jumbo frames and 802.1q VLAN tagging.
Easy installation
With its dual profile, the PCI Express network card easily installs into many server and computer chassis, regardless of their form factor. The card comes with a standard height bracket for installation in a standard-sized chassis. It includes a low-profile / half-height bracket for installation in compact form factor computers.
