The SDOCK2U33RE SATA 2.5/3.5 inch hard drive/SSD duplicator station allows you to duplicate/clone an existing hard drive without using a host computer -- or to plug and swap drives from your PC or laptop using a single USB or eSATA port.

Versatile Features

The SDOCK2U33RE duplicator station provides two handy functions. As a hard drive duplicator, the SDOCK2U33RE allows you to create an exact, sector-by-sector clone of an existing drive, including partitions and boot sector information. This ensures data integrity and consistency in sensitive applications, such as data recovery. As an external drive dock, the SDOCK2U33RE station allows you to connect your drives via eSATA or USB, with each slot supporting high-capacity 2.5/3.5 inch hard drives or solid-state drives tested up to 4 TB.

Fast Operation

With SATA III (6 Gb/s) compatibility, you can optimize efficiency with duplication speeds of up to 22 GB/minute, and eSATA host speeds of up to 6 Gb/s. The station can also be connected via USB 3.0 with UASP for transfer speeds of up to 5 Gb/s (70% faster than traditional USB 3.0). For more information, see the UASP test results below.

Convenient Use

With its button operation and plug-and-play installation, the duplicator station is designed for hassle-free use. The SDOCK2U33RE station allows you to quickly host your hard drives or start hard drive duplication at the push of a button. Additionally, the built-in LED progress bar saves you time by letting you monitor the entire duplication process. You will know exactly when to move on to the next operation.

Enhanced Performance with UASP

UASP is supported in Windows 8, Mac OSX (10.8 or later), and Linux. Tests show that UASP support provides 70% higher read speeds and 40% higher write speeds compared to traditional USB 3.0 at maximum capacity.

Under the same conditions, UASP shows an 80% reduction in CPU resource requirements.

The test was conducted with an Intel® Ivy Bridge system, a StarTech.com enclosure with UASP, and a SATA III solid-state drive.
