Add an RS232 serial port to your standard or compact computer via a PCI Express expansion slot

The PCI Express serial card PEX1S553LP allows you to transform a PCI Express slot into an RS232 serial connection (DB9).

Based on a unique native chip design that optimizes PCI Express (PCIe) capabilities, the card reduces the load applied to the computer by up to 48% compared to conventional bridge chip serial cards.

The PCI Express to RS232 serial adapter card is compatible with a wide range of operating systems; including Windows® 2000/XP/2003/Vista™/Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 (32 and 64 bit) and Linux kernel 2.6.11 to 4.11.x. It comes with a pre-installed low-profile/half-height bracket, but also includes an optional full-profile bracket that allows you to add a serial port to virtually any computer (regardless of form factor).

This product replaces our PEX1S552 card.
