This SATA III 8-port controller (6 Gbit/s) allows you to add eight SATA 6 Gbit/s hard drives or SSDs to your computer system or server from an available PCIe x4 card slot. The card supports SATA III and PCI Express Gen 2 specifications, as well as four SATA controllers, providing a high-performance data storage solution.

Four controllers for 6 Gbit/s performance on 8 SATA ports

Equipped with four 2-port SATA 6 controllers and a PCIe x4 MUX, this SATA card allows you to connect eight high-performance SATA 6 Gbit/s drives, for a maximum combined throughput of 20 Gbit/s. The SATA drives are connected via two Mini-SAS ports with two included Mini-SAS to 4x SATA adapter cables. To ensure a secure connection, each SATA port of the provided cables features a locking connector that prevents accidental disconnection of the drive during any intervention inside your computer case.

Extended compatibility

The PCIe MUX integrated into this controller card manages the downstream controllers, enhancing motherboard compatibility by ensuring the card works with motherboards that support bifurcation and those that do not. To further improve motherboard compatibility, the card does not include any built-in RAID controller but fully supports the use of software RAID. Additionally, with support for PCIe Gen 2 and SATA III specifications, this card ensures backward compatibility with previous generations (SATA I/II, PCIe Gen 1) that are less performant.

The controller card enjoys extensive support across all common operating system platforms, including Windows (7, 8, 10, 11), MacOS (10.10-11), and Linux (2.6.32 and later versions).

Simplified installation

The SATA controller card offers plug-and-play installation and can be installed in both full-height and half-height computer systems, with a pre-installed full-height bracket and an interchangeable half-height bracket provided. The card also supports data management systems of storage software, such as Storage Spaces (Microsoft), RAID Assistant (MacOS), and mdraid/mdadm (Linux), facilitating installation; partitioning and building software RAID arrays.
